    Ooh! You should add Yolen’s Young Heroes series, Ursu’s Shdow Thieves, and a bunch of other Ancient Grece and Rome books. Lot of times the Riordan is a good way to get students to rea some historical fiction set during that time.

    Alice’s suggestions are great (LOVE The Shadow Thieves series) and will add The Red Pyramid, also by Riordan and the Erec Rex series by Kaza Kingsley (based on the legend of Hercules).

    And with all the attention Suzanne Collins is getting with The Hunger Games, I wish the publisher would re-release the Gregor the Overlander series with new, more attractive covers. When I practically force students to read it, they love it, but I haven’t had one student pick it up on his own.
