The Story
3 Willows—Book Review

Three girls, friends since third grade, have very different plans for their summer before high school. Ama faces numerous fears when she is thrust into an outdoor program for the summer instead of the rigorous academic program she intended. Jo is struggling with a summer job, an attractive and dangerous boy, and her parent’s separation. Polly has decided she wants to be a model and starts an aggressive diet and modeling camp. The girls learn that they still need each other and that they are stronger together than apart.
The Scoop
3 Willows—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

While this story deals with three teens that are largely unsupervised, it is pretty benign for the most part. Some heavy kissing and mild language is about as racy as it gets. One of the teens needs to call an ambulance for her mother who is drunk and unconscious, which leads to her mother admitting her alcoholism. This story has several nice messages about friendship, family, and personal growth.
