The Story
Forever (Wolves of Mercy Falls #3)—Book Review

When Sam and Grace met, he was a wolf and she was human. He found a way to remain human and their love grew into the best thing either of them had ever known. But Grace was not destined to remain human, and now she is a wolf. Because of the misdeeds of some of the wolves, the entire pack is in danger of being exterminated in an aerial hunt in only two short weeks. Sam would give his life for Grace, but even his love for her may not be big enough to save her this time. He'll have to turn to Cole, whose self-destructive nature may be the salvation or the ruin of the entire wolf pack.
The Scoop
Forever (Wolves of Mercy Falls #3)—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

This final installment in the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy is an emotional, suspenseful, and satisfying end to Sam and Grace's story. It is again told from the alternating points of view of the four main characters, each of whom experiences important personal growth over the course of the story. Sam works hard to get past the betrayals of his childhood and assume the leadership role that his adoptive father planned for him. Cynical bad-boy Cole has been self-destructive and suicidal in the past, but learns to channel his anger and passion in a meaningful way, both for himself and for the greater good of the wolf pack. Grace and Isabel both develop the courage to stand up to their parents for what they believe in. Grace and Sam together are a fabulous example of a positive, respectful and nurturing relationship. This is contrasted with Isabel and Cole, whose developing relationship is based on physical desire, though they each aspire to what Grace and Sam have. Teens may relish the ethics debate about removing wolves from the protected list in order to exterminate them because of human deaths they've caused. Sex between Grace and Sam is briefly implied, but not described, though there is clearly much sexual tension between them. Language is very mild and infrequent (sh-t, b-stard).
