Big Nate is on a quest! A quest to win the Timber Scout fundraising contest where first prize is a customized skateboard! Since Nate's skateboard is missing in action, he is desperate to beat Artur, sell the most "Warm Fuzzies," and win the coveted first prize. Not all goes smoothly, of course, and Nate finds himself struggling to come up with creative and wacky schemes to outsell Artur. Will Nate get the skateboard, or will Artur prevail?

Big Nate on a Roll is just as fun and engaging as its predecessors. Amusing comics are interspersed with the story, making this an incredibly quick read, and one that will be appealing to the most reluctant of readers. Nate is not always the best role model--receiving detention, getting grounded, etc.--but is a good kid at heart. He is as sassy and spirited as ever in his mission to win first prize in his scout troup fundraising contest. Ever resourceful, Nate comes up with some money making schemes that do not quite go as planned, but he does show perseverance and works hard to win the prize he so desires. Fans of graphic novels and the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books will continue to enjoy Big Nate and will look forward to the next in the series, Big Nate Goes for Broke.
