The Story
Why We Broke Up—Book Review

Min Green is shattered and she wants Ed to know exactly why. Every little reason. She wants him to remember every step of the journey their relationship took, she wants him to remember every joy, every heartbreak, and most of all, she wants closure and she wants him to know exactly why they broke up. She dumps a box on his front porch and every item it contains has meaning and tells a piece of their story.
The Scoop
Why We Broke Up—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

Why We Broke Up is a powerful book full of extraordinary writing and beautiful illustrations. The story of how Min and Ed got together, the path of their relationship, and why they broke up is an engaging and relatable one. Min is unique, "arty," loves classic films and vintage clothing. Ed is a popular, partying jock, co-captain of the basketball team, and quite the ladies' man. Friendship is incredibly supportive, as Min's best friend Al, is an important constant in her life. Language is graphic and quite prevalent, and Min loses her virginity to Ed. Underage drinking takes place often, and characters attend some wild parties. At one such party, school coaches are aware of teen drinking and irresponsibly turn a blind eye. This is sure to be an extremely popular book for teens who appreciate great writing, a tale of falling in and out of love, and illustrations that add greatly to the story. Fans will want to visit to contribute their own break up story, read those that others have shared, and learn more about the authors.
