Whatever After #1: Fairest of All—Book Review
When nine-year-old Abby and her little brother moved into their new house, they knew things would be different. But how different, they never could have guessed! When a magic mirror on their basement wall literally sucks them in and transports them back in time, they find themselves in the middle of Snow White's fairy tale. Knowing how the story goes, they decide to take action. They prevent Snow White from eating the poison apple, but now how is she supposed to meet her prince? Uh oh. Looks like Abby and her brother have a lot of work to do if they are going to get Snow White her happy ending, and finally find a way to get back home.

{spoiler alert}
Whatever After #1: Fairest of All is the first in a new series for middle graders from the popular young adult author, Sarah Mlynowski. Easy to read and engaging, tween girls will zip through this fun modern-day spin on an old fairy tale. Abby is a relatable narrator, and her quick wit and sense of humor make her immensely likable. Completely wholesome, this book would make for a fun read-aloud. The story is action-packed and there is some "bad guy" fighting, but it is not scary. Fairest of All will be a crowd-pleaser, likely to be enjoyed by most tween girls, even those who are reluctant readers. >Book trailer from YouTube:
