The Story
Stunning: Pretty Little Liars #11—Book Review

Mysteries, secrets, and scandals continue to abound in Rosewood, Pennsylvania. The biggest secret of all, the fact that Emily had a baby that no one, not even her parents, is supposed to know about, threatens to destroy all of the girls. Spencer is already trying to create a place for herself at Princeton in the fall, but things go horribly awry. Aria discovers a shocking secret about boyfriend Noel's father and has no idea what to do about it. Hanna continues to campaign for her politician father, and is honing her own stalking skills. As always, threatening and mysterious texts coming from the elusive "A" traumatize the girls, as "A" knows their biggest, darkest, and most damaging secrets.
The Scoop
Stunning: Pretty Little Liars #11—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

The eleventh in the Pretty Little Liars series, Stunning picks up right where the previous book left off. As has been typical of the series, language is strong (h-ll, b-tch, cr-p, sh-t, a-s, godd-mn), malicious and criminal behavior takes place, teens are wealthy and privileged, and brand name dropping is prevalent. A main character became pregnant, disappeared so no one would know, gave birth to a baby girl, and gave her up for adoption. One character spots another character's father dressed in drag, which poses an ethical dilemma for her. Underage drinking takes place, as does a party where teens eat pot brownies that unbeknownst to them are also laced with other, stronger drugs, and wild behavior and hospital visits ensue. One character is murdered, an old murder is referenced, and nothing appears to be what it seems. Manipulative, deceitful behavior is commonplace amongst these characters. Diehard fans of this popular series will want to keep reading to find out once and for all who "A" is, and can look forward to the release of Burned: Pretty Little Liars #12 in December of 2012.
