The Blogtastic Blogger, Sofia Becker, is back and her blogging identity continues to remain a secret. Sofia blogs about the goings on at Middlebrooke Middle School, including tidbits of gossip, unconfirmed rumors, and crushes. A new foreign exchange student from Germany shakes things up a bit and Sofia continues to be embarrassed by her pregnant mother who teaches at her school, ugh. Dueling blogs, mean girls, and the quest for popularity make 6th grade challenging and extremely blog-worthy.

The second in the Blogtastic! novel series, Rumors From the Boys' Room is just as amusing and easy to read as the first. This graphic novel is interspersed with funny comic drawings and speeds along. Sofia makes many mistakes and missteps, and tween girls will be able to relate to the middle school drama she experiences. Language is silly and age appropriate (b-tt, b-tthead). Sofia's mother is pregnant in this story, and a new addition to the family is welcomed by the end. Crushes and popularity are central to this series and this installment in particular, and fans will look forward to more of Sofia's story in Secrets From the Sleeping Bag.
