Sutton continues to observe from beyond the grave, watching Emma, her twin, live what used to be her life. Emma is desperate to discover who killed Sutton, and to save herself from a similar fate. Emma begins to feel as though she can trust no one, especially those who are the closest to her, who seem to have motives buried beneath a wealth of family secrets.

The Lying Game #4: Hide and Seek has the usual cast, and continues where the previous book in the series left off. Mystery, deceit, and family secrets abound in this suspenseful page turner. A new group at school, The Devious Four, execute a prank that The Lying Game crew gets blamed for and revenge is planned. Blown up condoms and penis-shaped balloons are involved in a prank. Sneaking into the school for a dance that is not condoned or sponsored by school authorities resuslts in fleeing from the police. Language is graphic, though not overly prevalent (b-tch, a-s, a-shole, sh-t, f--ked). Emma uncovers layers of family drama that lead to surprising revelations. This story ends with quite a cliffhanger, leaving fans of this popular series wanting more.
