Taking place over the course of one night, this story centers around an unauthorized scavenger hunt, marking the end of senior year in high school. Mary and team are determined to win the hunt, which causes participants to use speed, smarts, resourcefulness, and killer instinct. One character is openly homosexual and a few other characters are involved in a love/crush triangle that causes some issues and awkwardness. Language is strong (a-s, a-shole, d-ck, cr-p, sh-t, d--che bag) and the word "fag" is used in a derogatory manner. Underage drinking takes place, with one younger character getting extremely intoxicated. A female character "moons" another group of teens, and skinny dipping is part of the scavenger hunt. Teens who had been looked over, felt invisible, and/or bullied in high school get to have their moment of glory and an unforgettable bonding experience. Older teen girls will thoroughly enjoy this smart story with authentic and relatable characters.
