The Story
The Loser List #2: Revenge of the Loser—Book Review

Danny Shine is back and he is still drawing and trying to navigate the treacherous waters of middle school. When the new boy, Ty Randall, starts school with instant popularity and all kinds of innovative and environmentally conscious ideas, Danny decides he must come up with something bigger and better to outdo Ty. Danny decides to put on a talent show to raise money for a school in dire need of funds, in order to make himself look good, and to put Ty to shame at the same time. Knowing Danny, things may not go exactly according to plan.
The Scoop
The Loser List #2: Revenge of the Loser—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

The sequel to The Loser List, The Loser List #2: Revenge of the Loser, is a fun and funny graphic novel. Diary of a Wimpy Kid fans will enjoy this series as well. Surviving middle school, and competing for popularity and attention are at the heart of this story, and main character Danny has some wild ideas. Danny's intentions are not always the best, as he sets out to publicly embarrass a classmate, but better judgment prevails in the end and he does the right thing. Social activism and concern for the environment are very important to one character, and many mentions are made to "being green." The same school bully from the first book is present in this one, and he is a mildly threatening character. Language is mostly silly (diptard, butt, poop, freakin' A). Reluctant tween boy readers will thoroughly enjoy this speed read liberally interspersed with comic drawings.
