The Story
The Slayer Chronicles #2: Second Chance—Book Review

Joss has caused his Slayer Society to doubt him and he is sent off to New York City to prove himself. He is in charge of the hunt for a serial killer, believed to be a vampire. More than one suspect emerges and Joss must gather the collective strength and smarts of the team to put an end to the killings and to regain the trust of the Society.
The Scoop
The Slayer Chronicles #2: Second Chance—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

The second in The Slayer Chronicles picks up right where the first left off. Fans of the Vladimir Tod series will enjoy this one just as much, as many characters overlap. Some imagery is frightening and/or disturbing, as it involves dead bodies, some gruesome and bloody descriptions, and violent killing. Drinking of blood takes place, as some characters are vampires, and some older characters drink alcohol. Language is mild and infrequent (cr-p, d-mn, h-ll). Main character Joss is haunted by some pretty upsetting nightmares, mostly involving his dead sister, Cecile, whose death he has sworn to avenge. This is an exciting and suspenseful read, which ends leaving readers wanting more.
