The Story
Bunnicula: A Rabbit-Tale of Mystery—Book Review

When a new pet rabbit is brought into the Monroe house, the family dog and cat begin to have their suspicions. Named Bunnicula for his peculiar markings, this rabbit's habit of sleeping during the day and sneaking out at night causes the other pets to fear that he is actually a vampire. When vegetables are found "white" with all of the juice sucked out of them, the animals hatch a plan to learn more about their new family member.
The Scoop
Bunnicula: A Rabbit-Tale of Mystery—Book Review
{spoiler alert}

Made popular again by its recent sequel(s), this charming book is told from the point of view of the family dog. Not scary at all, it is a quick read and clever tale. Some of the vocabulary may be a little tough for the average eight-year-old, but the story is suited more for a younger tween than an older tween.
