An excellent story about sibling issues, The Lemonade War is a compelling, age-appropriate read. Please note that the siblings are particularly mean to one another, sabotaging one another and often saying incredibly hurtful things. The ultimate message conveyed is a positive family one, and the two come together after apologizing, and work together toward a common goal. Language is silly (stupid, poop, dog doo) and mild. An incident is referenced where a main character was humiliated and hurt by mean girls and their behavior. Parents will love that this story sneaks math and word problems into the plot, along with tips about how to succeed in business.
